There is an Artifact which lies close to the school main gate meant only for viewing and snapping pictures. This artifact is the school Automated Teller Machine popularly called ATM.
The Union bank ATM whose installation took a whooping period of 2years and was finally completed some months back has not functioned continuously for a period of 48hours without any hitch or complains.
The ATM which was constructed within the school premises in order to abate the stress encountered by students of the campus, has not only added to their stress but also downplayed the efficiency of the Student Union Government who has completely failed to take any action toward the proper functioning of the ATM.
The Oleh community has just three ATMs in its entirety, one within the union bank premise, another within the Unity Bank premises and the third within the campus premise. The other two outside the campus area do not function concurrently i.e if one is functioning, the other is not, and this has forced the students into the habit of always travelling to Ughelli and Ozoro in order to withdraw cash.
Due to the state of this ATMs, the Oleh student community has now termed them artifacts meant only for viewing and snapping pictures, with the one within the school premises being the chief of these artifacts.
The students’ body wants to use this medium to appeal to the outgoing and incoming Student Union Government to take a cause of action toward the proper functioning of these ATMs in order to abate the stress encountered by the students in their quest to withdraw cash.
