Obviously some changes are already taking place in both the Faculties of Engineering and Law. Changes that were tagged “Developmental Infrastructure” by the university authorities.
Whatever name they called it, we are sure these are signs of better things to come.
NDDC erected solar-powered street lights

Worthy of note are the NDDC erected solar-powered Street lights beautifully stationed within and outside campus that have given the environment a little touch of modernity and have also, as lamented by some students, taken away their previous hang out places that we call “blocking joints” or simply “joints” (you know na *wink*)
e-library in the Faculty of Law

Another notable development is the newly built and almost completed e-library facilities in the Faculty of Law that has great promises for our educational career. But I beg the authorities not to quickly build it and abandon it like the one at the Faculty of Engineering with computers that are, to me, just there for fancy. Or perhaps they are been operated upon by ghosts.
The most fascinating development, however, is the free internet connection on campus that seems to have gone unnoticed. Although presently not covering the entire campus environment, it is available to users from the T-junction beside the football field down to the SUG Secretariat (beside the Diploma block). A radio transmitter had, at this moment, been mounted at Brooklyn (Boys’ Hostel) and also at the Admin Block in the Faculty of Engineering. Because it requires a 24/7 supply of electricity, it has not been functional.
For those of us who are within the range, the password for access into the wi-fi service is oleh1.
We appreciate the school authorities, the SUG and the NGO, You and I Foundation and the state government who are involved in these projects.
Keep doing the good work.
