It is no longer news that Oleh now has MC DONALDS. Although not expressly known as MC DONALDS but instead popularly known as 30.40.
30.40 is a local restaurant situated beside IC Global. 30.40 is popularly known for its early morning beans, pap and akara balls. The spectacular thing about 30.40 is its price system, the price system operated at 30.40 is a system known across Nigeria as 'mama put'. The name 30.40 is derived from this price system being that you can order meals at the rate of 30 naira and forty naira.
30.40 is owned by a young couple of Igbo decent, who are both always present at the joint to ensure that their customers are satisfied.
Although so many students would deny that they eat at 30.40, a recent study has shown that 80% of Oleh Campus students survive daily on 30.40. Most of them actually might not sit there to enjoy the meal, due to the crowd there, they would rather take it home and enjoy it in the comfort of their rooms.
It is due to this popular patronage of 30.40 by the student body, and their need to make it seem unique, that they now term it Oleh MC DONALDS.
