Few would have believed that the association housing the various rich ethnic groups domiciled in our very own citadel of great minds would still be in existence today and probably even see the light of the day again in the institution going by the numerous controversies that almost saw the association been swept under the carpet during the early part of the session.
The unpalatable situation delayed the association's electioneering proceedings leaving everyone on campus in some sort of a limbo until the early part of this semester that a resolution was reached and elections were conducted in which Comr. Ndubuchie Emeka a 3oolevel Law student emerged as the association's president.
Now four weeks into the current dispensation, they have not only set the drums rolling but are gradually setting an indelible marker for other associations and organizations on campus to follow. It brings to mind the proverb which says "men with vision thrive no matter the circumstances" and not only are they setting a legacy they are doing it with class.
This is evident in the ongoing project been sponsored by the association to create a state of the art relaxation spot at different parts of campus. The first phase of the project which commenced over the weekend precisely Saturday will include state of the art well sheltered sitting/relaxation points on campus. They will be sited in this order, four to be sited at the entrance of Law Faculty bearing crested names of the university's Vice Chancellor,Provost and Faculty deans of Law and Engineering. Twenty will be situated at the school football field bearing the names of the different ethnic groups on campus, the remaining six will be sited at the engineering Faculty.
The ongoing projects we were told are the beginning of massive infrastructural projects to be carried out by the association.Don't they ooze class, NADESSTU is working Ndubuchie is working.
