Students residing in school hostel can now raise shoulders as they won in their battle with the hostel supervisor over the super v’s decision to impose hostel polo fees on the residents. The decision will no longer stand, Campus Echoes was told.
We gathered today, that last night the Dean of Students’ Affairs, Engr. F.E Ukrakpo visited the hostels to hear for himself and going by the students’ reaction against the decision, the dean said the decision will not be possible and if at all the students decided to go for the polo; it won’t be made compulsory.
He also said such things are supposed to be the students’ affair not the super v’s.
Although, we also gathered that some girls have actually started paying the money.
**** Moving away from the polo palaver, female students at the school hostel will commence balloting to stay at the hostel from tomorrow so intending hostel seekers and those who wish to retain their space should please be informed.
