NADESSTU President talks about the e-bursary and DESOPADEC money

Arising from a meeting today, the NADESSTU President, comrade Agbeyi Omatseye in a chat with Campus Echoes, came out to clear the air with regards to

rumours that had emanated over the couple of days about the mismanagement of funds by an Executive. He said clearly that nothing of such has occurred and that students should debunk those rumours.

He also informed us that the e-bursary registration for the Delta State students bursary scheme is expected to commence next week everything being equal and that those who applied for DESOPADEC should still be patient as the list will soon be made available for verification. With regards to the inability of pre-degree students to register for the bursary last time, the President informed us that arrangement is in place to see that they benefit this time around.

Finally, he told us that this year’s NADESSTU day (Cultural Day) will be coming up by the grace of God on the 20^th of September and promised it is going to be a wonderful and festival-like celebration different from previous ones and that the organizers are in full swing to ensure that it is one of a kind.
