GD and Mena security personnel in heated confrontation

It was a scene to behold yesterday during evening hours precisely 6:30pm around the campus gate as our Mena security personnel got what they didn’t expect from a student.

It was 6:30pm and a five hundred level student was going to his hostel after a tiring dance rehearsal only to be confronted by one of the completely kitted men on Red security staff aka Mena security who fired him with a whole lot of questions as regards the tattoos on his body. In the security man’s words “what kind of example are you setting for your younger ones to follow”?

And just as you might be thinking right now, the questions didn’t go down well with the student who replied the questions in a somewhat angered manner and before one could say jack the scene was thrown into a turmoil as both individuals engaged in a fierce argument which if not for the intervention of other security men would have resulted in a fight.

We wonder if such job description has also been added to the securities duties, who instead of ensuring better security in the university have resorted to doing counselling duties, abi the way the guy take dress get as e be, we really don’t understand. So we only advice both students and security men to please function in their respective capacities not pop-nosing into other people’s biz.
