It’s gradually turning into weeks since a section of the fence behind the Women affairs hostel was broken down for maintenance purposes and repairs. But as you read this little piece, the said wall still lies in ruins and possibly in a state of abandonment. Whether to call it an act of negligence or a clear lack of hindsight, we just don’t get it.

No intentions to bore you down with a long piece of write-up, our sole reason for raising such clarion call is but for safety reasons which we believe might not sound reasonable to some. But have you ever taught of the possibility of a likely night invasion through the said fence, it could happen without much fuse no disregard to the uniformed Mena security officials but can they withstand a subtle invasion which is capable of causing trauma and heart-aches to residents? That though is question to be answered.

Other negative vices capable of greater havoc remains a likely possibility, all of which is very much avoidable now rather than later if relevant authorities and persons inclusive are the Hall governor, Dean of students and the rest take the needed action. Remember a stitch in time saves nine.
