Akazue Christian, a 300L Civil Engineering student, popularly known as Onowu allegedly hit a female classmate on her face.

The female student whose name is David Love reported that Onowu held her on her way back to her hostel after a practical they had yesterday morning and punched her on the face.

What happened, as reported, was that

Onowu came to class that morning and was unusually quiet, so a classmate of his asked why he was that quiet. Before he could reply Love interjected and said “it was better he remained quiet than talking and saying rubbish.” This, of course, provoked Onowu.

It was later gathered that Love was at fault as her classmates took on to the department’s Whatsapp group and referred to her as been troublesome and that the beating serves her right.

But giving my take on this matter; on no account should a student raise his hand on another student talk less of a male’s hand on a female. It is absolutely inappropriate and not manly to put it mildly.

Whatever the girl has done to you shouldn’t be taken seriously. After all we all know say girls mouth too much.

Also to our girls who feel they can talk to people with little or no respect, we advise that you caution yourself and learn to treat people with respect. It is only by then that you will earn your full respect.
