It is the
joy of every great leader to see that his successors do greater works than
them. This is clearly depicted in the story of Elijah and Elisha in the bible. It
was time for Elijah to go for a higher calling and it was, indeed, needful that
he passes the baton to Elisha, his servant. The good part of this story is that
Elisha wasn’t ready to collect just the baton from his master but to collect
double of his anointing. This is the kind of hunger the newly appointed leaders
should exhibit; they should always try to keep the trend for greater works
alive in Cfi.
At this
point we believe it necessary to give one word or two about
the out-going
leadership of Cfi. I, Francis Waje, I’m member of Cfi and I must say that the
impact that this leaders have had on my life over the short time I have been with
them is inexplicable. They’ve been a source of inspiration to me. Leaders like
Pst Ugochukwu Zelibe, Pst Godsthrone, Bro Kome (Kess David), Pst CY, Bro Joshua
(Director of Drama). We, at Campus Echoes, want to genuinely use this time to
say a very big thank you and you will be missed greatly.
Notwithstanding
the fact that some of you will leave us soon, I want you, and I’m sure other Cfites
as well want you to know that your legacy of excellence and the impact God has
used you to affect in our lives are greatly appreciated.
