Owing to the complains from the winners of the Mr. and Miss NUESA pageant as regards their prizes which they’ve not been given, the NUESA body have come out to clear the air with regard the perceived notion that they don’t intend to give the prizes. The body has come out to clarify that the winners

will receive their gifts but the delay was actually due to unforeseen circumstances that came up after the NUESA Week.

The body pleaded that, although, the gifts are now ready but the winners will have to accept what is on offer. As against the initial prizes of Plasma TV, refrigerator set and electric standing fan, the winners will receive a two plated thermocool gas cooker (for Mr. and Miss NUESA), standing fan (for 1st runners-up) and an electric iron (2^nd runners-up). All these are coupled with an assured promise from the NADESSTU president that they will be awarded both the Delta state bursary and DESOPADEC Assistance scheme.

The NUESA president, comrade Uti, told us that the change in the prizes was due to financial constraints but the association found it needful to ensure that the winners are rewarded. He also pleaded that the winners should see reasons with the new development as it was not meant to be this way.
