Eva misses penalty as Government Hostel Girls crash out of the Provost Female Football Cup after a barren draw

Our girls from Government hostel filed out yesterday evening knowing that only a win could secure their passage into the final of the female cup tournament. But after an exhausting evening that also saw them throwing away a glorious chance at the penalty spot, it was the girls from Women Affairs who found their voice after holding out for a draw to seal their way to the finals.

The match showcased great skill, control and dribbles, which drew great applause and cheers from the male-dominated fans and supporters alike. If you weren’t at the field then you just need to start feeling sorry because the likes of Tina, Ese, Pearl, Tsesan e.t.c from the Women Affairs and the likes of Eva, Chioma, Martha (who tried to head a ball on the floor) and Jumoke from the Government hostel gave a classic and emphatic display yesterday; making it an unforgettable experience.

The finals will be played on the 12^th of September 2014 and it will be contested between IVL girls and Women Affairs.
